Flying in the Alps
« on: May 02, 2014, 07:46:59 AM »

Sup nerds,

I handed my camera off to a crew chiefs while we were doing some formation flying during some high altitude training, and this is what came out on the other end (decent file size):

http://imgur.com/a/MSwgu  (thanks NUKA for putting on Imgur)

Anyways, enjoy the pictures! I would upload them as individual photos but I don't know how to use this macbook for shit (as in reducing file size), and my internet is so fucking slow it took 3 hours to upload what i'm linking.

Cool Pics. What's up with the pics with the American flag and one person raising their hand?

That's a re-up.  Just a ceremony to redo their oath for another contract.

You are the fucking man.  I'll try to submit afghanistan pictures as time allows.

Side not, that castle is what Walt Disney used as inspiration for the Disney Castle.

Wow those are some beautiful pictures!  I have been there before :) Looks even more beautiful from above.  I took a tour bus through the alps from Koper Slovenia to Salzburg and then to Munich.  Castles are fucking awesome.  I want a Castle so bad!  Where do you live and how many days off do you get as a pilot?  Please more pictures, I love that kind of shit.  Wait until winter, dem snow covered cities are so pretty.  Stay safe!

I'm living in Ansbach, Germany.  We have normal work weeks (so off Sat/Sun), but we work weird hours often times because of crew rest requirements.  My second weekend in Germany I went on a snowboarding trip in Austria and it was gorgeous.

I'll definitely post more pictures as I get them.  I'm not sure whether I'll make it to the Alps again before I deploy.

Awesome photos Nox, it's very much like New Zealand in terms of how green it is over there. It looks like you are having great experiences over there, I hope you are well and stay safe brother!

Bonus points for any Bavarians the paratroopers hit while landing.

Also, when you return to America, make sure to bring Lederhosen and a Dirndl, then ship them to Scourge so he can wear them while streaming Planetside 2.
