For those poor saps who couldn't (or wouldn't) make it to Vegas for SOE Live, here's what you missed!

http://imgur.com/a/VOPme#0

Day 1 - Thursday

My flight landed around 1:00 pm and I headed straight to Planet Hollywood to check into my room.  Unfortunately, my room wasn't going to be ready until 5:00 pm so I just headed upstairs to the mezzanine with my luggage and to start the meet and greet.  Torokokill, Scourge, Shock, CA5H, Basstape, Regime, Nightmareman, Murda, and Ice were already there and it was easy for me to find their table because it was already littered with beer cans and Scourge's costume accessories.  We mingled with a bunch of PS2 folks while picking up our event badges and swag bags.  Ice was able to "acquire" a few extra loot cards from spare bags lying around lol.

As expected, random people would come up to us to say hi and ride our e-cocks.  It's funny seeing the difference one year can make.  At SOE Live 2013, pretty much only TwF, Shock, and Scourge got any attention but now in 2014, FCRW is now basically a brand name.  It was weird having random people coming up to me saying "omg you're Shiri" and I'd look at their badge and have no idea who they were.

Tournament sign-up was a huge, unorganized mess as expected.  It was one long line for EVERY tournament with only ONE person, Radar X, handling everything.  It took so long to sign up both FCRW teams that we ended up being late for our dinner reservation to Hofbruhaus.  Regime had to call the restaurant to change our time but it ended up working well in the end because we were able to grab DW, Kudochop and Malorn before heading out around 4:45.  With such a huge group, it would have been expensive to split up into several cabs so we hired this huge stretch limo complete with stripper pole.

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lO14V_wIPcE" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lO14V_wIPcE</a>

The restaurant was pretty damn cool.  It had live music and HUGE beer servings.  NMM ordered not one but TWO gigantic 2 liter steins and down them both within 30 minutes.  Bass was the only one who had the audacity to order a fruity drink.

We wouldn't be Future Crew if we didn't troll our own so naturally we told our waitress that it was Scourge's birthday.  Not only did the band sing Happy Birthday to him in German, they forced him on stage to play along in a song.  It was awkward and beautiful at the same time.

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tYhIdXNeggs" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tYhIdXNeggs</a>

After dinner, we boarded the Rainbow Chariot back to PH and headed to Blondie's sports bar for some VIP party that we knew nothing about but got invited to anyway.  The bar had a reserved section in the back with about 50 seats and our group was the first to arrive.  The party was organized by a new gaming convention called XPO that plans to start doing PAX-like conventions in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Whatever, we grabbed some free t-shirts and started taking advantage of our free VIP drinks at the bar.  Keep in mind, most of were still pretty hammered from dinner and NMM and Regime actually had to retire early for the evening because of gratuitous alcohol consumption.

The XPO rep made her pitch and Shock, being the businessman that he is, gave the rundown on who we are and our accomplishments.  During this time, she's encouraging us to invite all our friends to this little party since there were still plenty of seats left.  Well, after a few texts, it didn't take long until DA, TRG, TXR, Statcursion, and pretty much every Planetside 2 attendee showed up in this massive group and proceeded to consume copious amounts of adult beverages.  As expected, everyone is riding Scourge's e-peen and force feeding him alcohol like a foie gras duck.

At around 2:30 am there were only a handful of us left including Higby who's still trying to kill Scourge with alcohol poisoning.  Stuke also finally arrived but we were about to call it quits and I had to help Scourge back to the room while Talron and Changes went off to go pick fights with random dudes wtf.  We make it back to the room and Toro's already dead on one bed while I try to find Scourge's phone charger in his luggage.  Instead, I find this:

Yup, that's a spent rifle shell casing, 7.62 mm.  I turned to Scourge and yelled "Dude, did you kill somebody?!" but he was too fucked up to give an intelligible response so I said fuck it and left him writhing in the chair while I went to bed.  I guess you can say we were off to a good start and this was just the first night.

Day 2 - Friday

I wake up super early to go secure tickets for the Tournament of Kings but not before taking this pic.

The view from the room is great btw.

By the time I get back to PH, only a few of us are still alive from the previous night's shenanigans.  We head downstairs to Gordon Ramsay's Burgr for lunch.  The food was great although seeing Toro eat a vegan burger was a little unsettling.

After lunch, we had back upstairs to prepare for Scourge's stream, costumes and all.  He's slotted from 2:00 - 4:00 pm, the same time as Wrel.

Arctorn wandered by and we got him to sit down with us for a bit.

Wrel was streaming on the machine behind us and we thought it would be a great idea to bring him over to show off the famous Kraken loadout.

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1wo9n9rY-k4" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1wo9n9rY-k4</a>

Shock found a random blue SOE Dev shirt lying around and picked it up with the intent to wear it and troll.  He's all derpy excited until he realizes it's a 2XL and promptly turns and gives it to NMM and NMM's like wtf man?

CA5H and DW flaked out of going to the Tournament of Kings so we grabbed Zyzzx from Hav0c and Kudochop.  They wouldn't let me record or take pictures but just trust me when I say that this was by far the most fun I've ever had here.  Eleven guys, all drunk and screaming their heads off while cheering for the evil Dragon was a riot.  After the show, the drunken escapades continued in the Exacalibur's Fun Dungeon.

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M9UFXHtI-28" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M9UFXHtI-28</a>
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=89_i3b-AcEM" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=89_i3b-AcEM</a>

At this point, NMM was about to burst from karaoke withdrawal so we head back to YOLO's bar at PH.  It turned out to be a bad decision as we all lost our voices from yelling so much at Tournamet of Kings but fuck it, we tried anyway.

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xsedETam7uQ" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xsedETam7uQ</a>

At around 4:30 am, a lot of people are getting hungry again but I call it quits.  Ice takes Scourge out for some pizza and me and Toro head back to the room.  At 6:30 am Scourge calls me to let him into the room.  I open the door and he's lying on the floor like a doormat.  I drag him into the room and once again I leave him on the chair and pray he recovers in time for the Planetside 2 tournament tomorrow at 2:00 pm.

Day 3 - Saturday

Everyone heads down to the mezz to prepare for the tournament with NMM donning his full regalia.

The tournament is a clusterfuck as expected.  Our second team, Shut Up Yoxn (Shiri, DW, Regime, NMM, CA5H, Ice) is up first, facing TXR.  As team captains, me and Talron head to the coin toss and I call heads and win.  As the coin toss winner, I get to choose either faction, or sunderer placement.  Our map was Heyoka Chemical on Amerish and I choose the eastern sunderer location which turned out to be a bad decision as it turned out to be the weaker of the two starting positions.

I head back to the machines to briefly go over our strategy.  CA5H - medic, NMM - engy, DW - MAX, the rest heavies.  The idea is to play conservative and use the MAX primarily as a distraction.  We ran no infil so CA5H used a crossbow with darts.  After a 2 hour delay, the match finally starts with no warning and we all scramble to get out of the sunderer and start rushing the point.

The match goes on and TXR is beating the crap out of us.  DW eventually ran out of resources so Regime had to go MAX.  When he ran out, I went MAX.  We're actually starting to turn it around when all of a sudden Radar X taps me on the shoulder and tells us to stop because they had to reset the match.  Apparently, their stat tracker wasn't working because they forgot to update it last night even though Malron told them to do so.  DERP.  This turned out to be huge because by this point I was able to figure out TXR's strategy and we changed our squad comp accordingly.

Ice switched to medic and DW went infil.  I went MAX full time and everyone else stayed the same.  After another huge delay, the match restarts and we do much better this time.  I ended up dying only twice and I had about 15 kills.  The scores are tallied and we were able to barely squeak by TXR with a margin of victory of like 8 points.

Of course, none of this mattered because this is when the next big fuck up happened.  Due to the huge delays, the tournament was in danger of going past the 6:00 pm time slot.  The original 16-team single elimination tournament format had to be scrapped and they switched to a pool-style format.  This meant that instead of 8 teams advancing after the first round, only 4 advanced, based on total score instead of win/loss.  This was a huge change as it meant that teams who could pad their score off weaker opponents were more likely to advance and teams who faced strong opponents like we did were probably not going to advance even though we won.

The main FCRW team was up next and they faced the Angry Army, Angry Joe's team.  Fortunately, the rule change benefited us as we were able to go ham on inexperienced opponents and farm like crazy.  Joe was rightfully pissed and I felt really bad for him.  SOE payed for him to be here and they made him, along with everyone else, wait 2 additional hours for the tournament to start.  In addition, they matched him against FCRW, the #1 seeded team and eventual tournament winners.

The first round ends and the four qualifying teams are FCRW, and ALL THREE DA teams.  TIW (with Wrel and Jaamaw), Recursion, TRG, and Shut up Yoxn all won our matches but thanks to the new format we do not advance.  Everyone is super salty, especially Sardus as he single-handedly destroyed his opponents, Ghosts of the Revolution.  Sardus went 39-0 and TRG still failed to advance because they couldn't farm hard enough.  FUCKED UP.  You could smell the salt in the air when Luperza announced the four qualifying teams, half the room just got up and left.

For the finals, the format remained the same with the top scoring team taking first.  FCRW was matched up against DA's main team while DA2 faced DA3.

The final match starts and all eyes are glued on main FCRW vs DA match.  It started off even but FCRW manages to cap the base and it was pretty smooth sailing from there.  The match ends and both teams exchange handshakes but our joy is reserved as it's highly unlikely we were able to score enough points to outscore the DA mirror match.

It's well past 6:00 pm and imagine our surprise when Radar X announces there would be one more match.  Apparently, Higby and Malorn realized how fucked up the scoring situation was and demanded we have a "real final" instead of this point race bullshit.

The grand finals take place with FCRW facing DA2.  It's less contested than the previous match and FCRW wins.  Handshakes are exchanged and FCRW congregates at the front of the stage to circle jerk.

From left to right: Murda, Toro, Scourge, Shock, DW, CA5H, Basstape, Ice, Regime, Stuke, NMM, Shiri

Everyone is exhausted and we head back to our rooms to clean ourselves up before the banquet.  I'm changing into a clean shirt when Toro walks out of the shower and into the room bare ass naked.  He forgot to bring his clean clothes into the bathroom and he just said "fuck it".  I will never forget the image of his pasty white sausage waving wild and free in the dry Nevada air.

Murda was able to secure a VIP table with Arclegger so we head downstairs to take part in the banquet.  The food was actually pretty good this year which was a pleasant surprise.

We stick around long enough for them to announce the winners of the Planetside 2 tournament.  We stand up and wave the giant check around for a bit and then leave early to celebrate.  We were originally going to head out and sit down at a restaurant but the surprisingly good banquet food combined with physical exhaustion wiped out that plan.

This is when the late night stream shenanigans began.  If you tuned in to Scourge's and Shock's stream around this time then you'll know what happened.  Stuke, in his drunken stupor, though it would be a good idea to wave around his $1000 Visa card on Scourge's stream so we could see the numbers.  He deleted the VOD so sadly, if you did not see it live, you're out of luck.  Fortunately, Shock still has his part of the VOD available on his channel including the Stuke/Vonic tandem bro-stream.

Eventually I get bored so me, Talron, Changes, Gau, and Mefy go downstairs to play craps.  We're having a good time and I'm actually up $100.  Gau is on this crazy hot streak shooting the dice but the pit boss didn't like him dropping constant f-bombs.  Gau apologizes but Changes, being the belligerent drunk that he is, gets into a shouting match and literally wants to fight.  We get security called on us and have to leave, bummer.

It's 6:00 am and I call it a night.  Toro's already passed out on the bed when I get back to the room.  Scourge is nowhere to be found and I don't hear from him until 9:30 am.  For the 3rd night in row, I drag him into the room and leave him writhing in the chair.

Day 4 - Sunday

I wake up around 10:30 and see that Toro has already gone to the dev brunch.  Scourge somehow manages to regain consciousness and wants to go too even though it would be pretty much over by the time we get down.  He goes anyway so team Shut Up Yoxn sans DW heads to the Venetian for lunch at the Grand Lux.  Great food btw with the best bloody mary you can get anywhere.

We all meet back up at PH to decide on what to do on our "free day" but everyone just wants to catch up on sleep.  I go downstairs to gamble away the money I won last night and run back into what's left of our group at PF Chang's for dinner.  It's only me, Scourge, Shock, Ice, Regime, Toro, Stuke, and Kudo left at this point with the latter two having their flights out in a few hours and Ice still in the room hammered as fuck.

Me and Regime take Scourge, Shock, and Toro down to Fremont Street to hang out and go to the Insert Coin bar.  This place is really cool, there's arcade games all around and private booths that you can rent to play consoles.  We ordered a 1.75 liter bottle of Absolut vodka and grabbed an N64 to get our Goldeneye on.  We were about halfway finished with the bottle around midnight when Scourge, in a rare moment of sound judgement, decided he had had enough and wanted to head back.

Being the designated babysitter, I reluctantly escort Scourge back to the room after getting a sandwich.  Scourge then decides that it would be a good idea to go to TXR's suite to at least say his goodbyes.  I tell him that's a bad idea because, speaking from experience, if he leaves the room now he's not coming back.  It's 2:00 am and he leaves anyway so fine, I go to bed at a somewhat reasonable hour for once.

Meanwhile, back at the bar, Toro, Shock, and Regime somehow manage to finish off the bottle of vodka.  Toro heads back to PH to hang out with TXR and ends up duo-puking with Vonic in the bathroom.  Toro somehow manages to make it back to the room on his own and spends the night asleep on the toilet.  Scourge never returned to the room that night.

Day 5 - Monday

Me and Toro are up at 9:30 and I frantically text Scourge reminding him that we need be out by 11:00 am for checkout.  He replies "I'm not dead" and wanders back into the room at 10:00, having spent the entire night awake.  Me and Toro are already changed and packed so we wait for Scourge to shower.  After 45 fucking minutes (geezus man...) Scourge finally finishes his shower and we leave for good.

We meet Regime downstairs and we head to the Quad for brunch at Hash House.  Coincidentally enough, we run into CA5H already finishing up his meal while we're being seated.  We eat our huge meal and head to the airport to GTFO.

Regime is in a different terminal so now it's just me, Scourge, and Toro.  Scourge's flight gets delayed 2 hours lol.  We used the airport's wifi to troll Kudochop's stream until my flight arrives at 5:00 pm and then we say our goodbyes.

All in all, it will be hard to top this year's SOE Live.  The whole pre-planning spreadsheet thing worked out extremely well.  If you're on the fence about going, just ask anyone who went how awesome it was.

Asian Command Out.

So far this has been the only way for me to remember exactly what we did each day.  Great job Shiri and thanks for making sure we actually got out and did things rather than mill around PH or crash sausage parties all weekend.
